Reporting to the Director and Associate Directors of The Court, Council and Senate Secretariat (CCSS), the appointees are expected to provide professional support to the three supreme bodies of the University, i.e. the Court, Council and Senate.
The appointees will be required to:
1. support the three supreme bodies and the committees/working groups under them, by preparing meeting papers, reports and minutes, and liaising with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate the work of these bodies;
2. monitor respective regulatory mechanism to ensure good University governance;
3. help implementing University’s initiatives including issues related to HKUST(GZ) and other strategic endeavors;
4. prepare high standard and formal correspondence for government officials, distinguished academics and community leaders;
5. lead University-wide projects and activities in an independent manner; and
6. carry out other related job duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree with at least 10 years of post-qualification experience, and an excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese. Experience in corporate or university governance, administrative management and quality assurance in tertiary institutions or public bodies setting is preferred, while exposure and knowledge of how government departments and universities operate in the Mainland will be advantageous. The ideal candidates should be detail-minded, and possess excellent organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work under pressure.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a written test and interview. (Duration: 2 years, renewable)

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
